1. SMOKE/FIRE DETECTION MODE
The panel is intended to forward alarm conditions from smoke and/or heat detectors to the NOU. It will also operate the smoke alarm audible and visual indicators.
1.1. NORMAL CONDITION. In this state, only the 50v SUPPLY ON indicator should be lit.
1.2. FIRE CONDITION. The SMOKE ALARM indicator should be flashing, and the audible alarm sounding in synchronism.
1.3. USER CONTROL. The only user control is the ‘‘RESET DETECTORS’’ push button. BEFORE pushing this, check for fire and smoke in the building, without putting yourself or anyone else at risk.
NOTE that the panel will not reset if any detectors are held in alarm by excessive smoke and/or heat. Report status back to your NOU.
2. SECURITY MODE.
There are no local user accessible controls for this mode. Start and Reset are controlled remotely by the NOU, who should be contacted prior to entry to ensure that a security alarm is not raised.
